Maybe someone can help me out. water is not draining out of my shower stall. i am trying to figure out where it drains out. My two sinks drain fine its just the shower. i tried running a snake down it but it seems to stop and hit something about two feet in. i also wonder if it is safe to run liquid draino down the drains since most plumbing is rubber hoses. any suggestions of how to get this shower draining would be appreciated. i been having to use a wet vac to vacum out the water everytime i take a shower

STOP! There is nothing anywhere on the boat that Draino will help. Always follow the drain to where it goes before doing anything. The drain for the shower drains to a sump located under the batteries. Remove the batteries and you will find a cover. Under the cover is the sump. Originally it had it's own sump pump to pump water overboard. This pump may still be there. If so and it works, there is a switch (maybe a pull out switch) at the sink to the left. If you wish to make it all work again, it should as the system is all there to work.

Oh, another drain that may give trouble is the ice box drain. It is a bilge hose that drains into the main bilge. Mine is plugged up. I don't use it.

Good thing I never done anything else. I was wondering what that small pull out switch was to the left of the sink a while back. I can hear something running when I would pull it out. I did question if it was indeed a pump of some sort to drain the shower but I tried it and it did not drain. So I figured it must have been for something else. I noticed a small thru hull just to the right and could not figure out what it was for. Seems there is a kink in the hose there and maybe that could be why it is not draining. I will check it all out. Thanks for giving me a heads up here, now I know what to look for.

Edit: Wanted to say thanks for pointing me in the right direction. There was indeed a cover that the batteries were sitting on top of. Removed that cover and there was a small well that the shower drains in and they had a rule 500 manual bilge pump in there. Pump was bad, I replaced it with identical one I bought from west marine and now it works as it should. I pull out the switch on the left side of the sink and it turns on the pump which drains the shower through a thru hull.
