check valve for sink

I did a search for a fix for this to no avail... I have a Beneteau 373, when I run the shower pump the sink gurgles due to the T fitting that the allows the shower and sink to use a single through hole.

Has anyone found a check valve that would work on the sink to allow this to work correctly? It seems that this would be a common problem on a lot of boats.

Put the rubber stopper in the sink? It would be better to put an on/off valve in the sink line than a check valve. All kinds of stuff from the sink would soon clog the checker.

We have been using the rubber stopper but I had hoped there was a better solution, I wasn't sure if a check valve would work or work for long due to clogging.
