Just last weekend i had the great misfortune of having my mainsheet setup stolen from my boat at the slip. I'm searching for ways to replace it as cheaply as possible. I'm wondering if i really need a 4:1 setup, since it seems that 22's come stock with a 3:1. My old setup consisted of a Harken blocks: a fiddle block with becket and cam cleat on the traveler, and a fiddle block on the boom. I would appreciate any advice i can get on cheap ways to get a new setup, since my old setup would run me about $140 on westmarine.com, just for the blocks.

Try Garhauer

I replaced my mainsheet block a couple of years ago with a Garhauer Block. No problems so far and the prices are reasonable. I attached the link below.

Ronstan

Nick, I'm installing new hardware on my Catalina, and I've ordered Ronstan blocks from Annapolis Performance Sailing (APS). The Ronstan equipment is less expensive than Harken, and APS has great prices (half price shipping for internet orders, too.)

main sheet blocks

Look at Defender's clearance, there were some very good prices on Lewmar.
