In my humble opion I would stay away from the Garmin 176 color, isn't even close to being visable in the daylight...Try the Standard Horizon CP-150.They retail for $ 399 at WM all day long..But wait til yours has a 10% off sale..:)

Standard Horizon

I have a Standard Horizon and it is a pretty good unit with one exception - you cannot download info from your PC like a Garmin. To do any downloading cost about $250 more. With the Garmin it is standard. Joe M.
