Our chartplotter, Raymarine C70, has 9 different trip logs.

What’s the difference? How do you use them? I can’t figure out how to zero anything? Without this I can’t get very far. Does the Log run since power was connected? What if it’s disconnected? We don’t have a paddle wheel, only GPS, does this mean you can only use Ground Log and not Trip or is it Log that won’t work? As you can see this is quite the snake pit of features.
Any insight from any make chartplotter might help clue me in to what is maybe quite obvious.
