[Amos Cape]

We were in need of a place to put a microwave so I pull the chart table because we only used it for storage. We also have the table if needed. This is on my 1980 Hunter.

Amos Cape, how does the portable AC work aboard? I like the microwave, may put a small one on the S2, if I can find the right spot. I put a Keurig coffee maker aboard, the smallest one they make. It works great, just slow, takes 2 min for one cup.
This is my first sailboat, I'm learning a lot.

You can't make go coffee in a microwave.
A question to the group, what do you microwave while away from shore power?
I do hot dogs, instant rice in a pouch.
We use a Colman gas stove coffee pot for coffee and then store it in a dispensing thermos so no need to reheat. bungy the thermos to the galley cabinet.

The AC unit works ok. It will keep the air about 10-15 lower then the outside air temp. We also have a alcohol stove and propane BBQ for cooking and making that needed cup of coffee in the morning. The microwave is we are at dock.
