Chart table storage

My husband and I have placed a deposit on the purchase of a 2006 Hunter 27. My only concern is that I would like to have more galley storage for weekends aboard without junking it up. I am curious as to whether anyone has had success with creating organized storage inside of the chart table cabinet. (Other ideas also very welcome!)

If you have photos - that would be amazing.

For great ideas on modifying the interior for storage space go to the tool bar on top of the page, under Boat Info> Hunter Owners Modifications. Great resourse for ideas. The "Whiz" for most of these ideas is Brian Bosley. He never ceases to amaze me how he utilizes every nook and cranny, yet does not junk up the boat. Always plenty of space to move about.

Do a search for boat babe or cruisin' on a 25.5 or h2ocruizers. The sailscall lounge forum is where you'd find many of their postings but the old boat pics were from their trips to the tortugas.
