I have a Hunter 44 AFT 2005( Sailing 7 years in the Med. all the time staying in the warter). So far I do not have a problem with my thru hulls.
I am lifting the boat out of the water and was wondering if it is time to change the thru hulls? How can I know if they need to be changed withot any external visible signs of corrosion or other? The same question also relates to the Mixing elbow. I wpuld appreciate your experience in this matter

If you're certain your thru hulls are bronze (and coming from the Hunter factory, they should be) I don't think there's much worry from corrosion this early in their life.

As far as the mixing elbow is concerned, it wouldn't hurt to remove it and have a look at what's accumulated inside in both the raw water and the exhaust gas passages.

I certainly envy your cruising in the Med. Sure beats freezing our butts off here on the coast of British Columbia.

thru-hulls.....I would exercise them regularly. lube if needed and make sure they are not loose on either side of the boat, clean them when you haulout. I would not generally replace them unless something urges you to do so. The age of the boat is young as far as the thru-hulls are concerned. Double check the hoses and clamps.

Mixing elbow similarly...unless you are having a problem. I would use an IR thermometer every now and then to make sure it is not over heating.

4jH Yanmar??

others will chime in on the newer boat aspect, but my 1991 still had original thru-hulls and mixing elbow.

Recall

Check and see if Hunter had a recall on your model but if not just grease them up real good inside them opening and cclosing them while adding the grease.
The mixing elbo should have some clogging from 05 and you should take it off and take the 2 pieces apart and try cleaning the one part out with some type of ice pick,it will have corking making the passage smaller and restricting the flow but clean as much as you can and the motor will run so much better.
I did this to my 07 H-36 about a year ago and I had a marine repair shop take the mixing elbo apart and I cleaned by using pointed narrow tools chipping out the corkingl and also banging the ssides while chipping away until most all is cleaned out making the passage way bigger aand less restricting, the engine rruns so much better.
Look here in search and recently was discussed so much more helpful info.
