I have to admit that I have never done this. I just put a brand-spanking-new Yamaha 9.9 on my boat and I might as well change out the fuel filter also. So with that, it is a Racor S3213 with the bowl on the bottom.
Can anyone help with how to do this? I am guessing that I have to drain the bowl first, but how? Then remove the old filter. Can it be cleaned or best to put on a new one? How much fuel will I lose doing this (not important) but I don't want to be surprised with fuel flowing freely. And, do I have to prime the filter with fuel before reinstalling so I do not spend an hour pumping fuel into the filter to get the suction back.
Thanks, as always, to the best source of information on the net.
