Just need some help? I lost my slip here in Hilo Hawaii and now I have to trailer my Hunter 25' and take the mast down. I have sailed several times trailering and mast lowering but......it is a pain setting up the furling system with the jib slot all the time. I am at the point of just replacing my furling with a standard wire setup and use my old jib. Need help with either changing or some system to keep my headsail furled and still raise and lower the mast fore trailering. I could get a slip up from the bridge and keep my mast lowered but I would have to raise and lower the mast anyway to get under the bridge. Raising and lowering is not the problem...I have to take the jib from the furler each time I sail...and thats the pain. Anyone know of a system that would keep my headsail in place and raise and lower my mast? (Hopefully Im making sense?) I need my jib halyard to raise and lower the mast so, how do I that and maintain my jib in the furler??? (am I missing something simple?)
