I have a 1995 and it has the 2 color stripes along the hull as most do. They are grey and tourquoise. The grey is ok but not the tourquoise. I want to change to the current colors of grey and blue. Where can I get the tape to stripe the boat? Anyone have any experience or tips for me? I heard a hair dryer can be used to remove the old striping? What about applying over the old stripes? Thanks.

tape

I just picked up stripes from Tidewater marina in Havre de Grace, MD it was $1.10 per ft. I got 80 feet. the tape comes with paper on both sides on side is sticky and the other side is to keep the distance proper when applying.

I used 3M tape from the attached website,

think it was $40 for 150' roll. Do not try to tape over the old ones, I use plastic putty knife and heat gun, just get it warm enough to loosen adhesive. Also some car body supply stores have a device called an "eraser wheel" basically a gum rubber disc for a drill that is supposed to be very effective, I've not used one.

Stripes

Catalina sells the stripes. I have a spare roll of blue and green for my 97 270. The two colors are on one piece of backing tape for even install. Doug
