Changing a motor mount

Over the winter, my fuel/water separator leaked fuel on one of my motor mounts. It's now rusted and the engine vibrates when in forward gear.
The mount that needs to be changed is the one that is the most difficult to get at if I would need to changed them in the typical way, which it to lift the motor high enough to get over the bolt. However, the 2 bolts holding the mounting bracket to the engine block are very easily accessible.

So my question is: does anyone see any problem if after supporting the engine in place, that I remove the whole mount and bracket together by removing the 2 bolts attaching the mount to the floor and the 2 bolts attaching the bracket to the engine block instead of more standard way of lifting the engine to get the mount off only.
The reason for my question is that I believe I read somewhere that you should never remove the bracket attached to the block. but I have no idea why.
thanks for any input.

I'd do it that way. If you can, scribe or use a magic marker to reference where it was before you remove it relative to the engine block and the mounting bed. That way you get it real close again on replacement. Pre-set the new motor mount to the same height as the old one and you should be fine. Always recheck alignment at the coupling.

I am not familiar with the motor mounts you have. But if they are the kind that colapse or weaken over time. You would best be served by at least replacing the opposite one.like both fronts or both rears. But either way re-align.
Just my 2 centavos

the mounts are new. They were replaced along with the new engine in 2012.
I would hate to spend an extra $200 on a mount that still has the price tag on it. lol. If they were not new, I would fully agree to change both back mounts.

New engine in 2012? Why so soon. Just curious as we have an 05 H33, same engine etc.
