Myth or reality, the stories abound. But, like the axiom, 'bad news travels fast', does changing a boat's name typically precipitate misfortune or is it simply that stories of misfortune travel more quickly? I am interested in hearing your input on how many boat owners change their boat's name and how many do not, and how many experience misfortune that they attribute to the replacing (or keeping) the moniker.

Listen it may sound hokey to go thru a ceremony, but it is worth it. Whether it is myth or not. It is fun to fill your boat up with a group of friends and go thru the ceremony out on the water. Tis better to be safe than sorry!
