Peggie Hall/Head Mistress

I'm in the process of moving from Atlanta to Little Rock. Between making a trip over tomorrow to do some painting etc in the new house ahead of the furniture, and then packing up and moving, my time online will be very limited for about the next month. In fact, till I get resettled with a new ISP, it'll be even more limited, 'cuz bellsouth.net charges a whopping $5/hour to connect to their 800 # when out of their area. I will have my laptop with me, and I will be checking my e-mail at least once daily, but not spending much time reading forum posts and typing replies. So for the next few weeks, if you have a question that needs an answer NOW, send me an e-mail...I'm in all the directories and that address will work till at least the end of Oct. But when it comes to forum posts, please be patient...I'll get to 'em as soon and as often as I can. Meanwhile I'll be busy trying to figure out how one small person can manage to collect so much JUNK! As I start to pack up this house after 14 years, I'm finding all kinds of things I not only didn't know I have...I don't even know WHY I have it! Thanks!

New latitude for you

Peggy, when you get settled in Little Rock you must check out Greers Ferry Lake which is 90 miles north. Look up the GFLYC located around Eden Isle/Heber Springs

Good Luck!

Good luck with your move. We'll miss your posts until you're resettled. It's been a while since I've been to Little Rock. Is there any sailable water there? Gary Wyngarden s/v Shibumi H335

You're getting close....

Good grief Peggie, If you're ever in the neighborhood (Dallas) give us a call! We've got this new French Chief at the club (The Chicken Fried Steaks are gone now - Sob!!) People of refined taste like yourself would enjoy it. I do myself but don't tell anybody! They got this one steak-ish dish that's so good it make you want to bang your head on the table. ;-) I'm getting there, it's just going to take a while longer. :) Pinkies out everyone! Pinkies out! Greg

Little Rock is a nice city

We lived in Little Rock/North Little Rock for ten years. Second the recommendation on Greer's Ferry Lake. We spent many happy days camping and sailing there (ODay Daysailor). Look into (literally -- very clean water) Lake Ouachita southwest of Little Rock. If your boat is trailerable you'll find a lot of great water there.

I had not seen your post until today. Good luck on the move. I travel all over the country and have found AT
