Chalky decks

My 1983 Hunter 34 has non-skid that my daughter hates the chalky feel of. I know that if I were to use a wax type sealant, I will slide off the decks. Have any of you dealt with a way to remove the chalky feel of the deck without making it into an ice rink?

I would start and end with a power washer. Mary Kate makes a cleaner that is supposed to help remove the chalky feeling.

Once you get it clean you can use Woody Wax or Island Girl to reseal the nonskid.

Island Girl also makes some products to clean the nonskid.
