Chainplate sealing

OK guys what type of sealer should I use on my 2007 H-36,I am on my last
day of a 3 week cruise and did notice a leak at the chain plate when we had
some heavy rain.
Anyone do this on the newer 2007 H-36,maybe 5200 or not.

Nick do you have cover plates on deck to go on the chain plates id so use the buytl tape that Maine sells and use it like he describes on his compass site...it flexes and stays sealed under that flexing....

NO

No covers over chain plates and need to apply like you would with
a caulking gun and fill in the open space where the stainless plate is
bolted to the fiberglass hull on the outer side.
