I am purchasing a 10 year old Hunter 460. Chain plates, both sides, fore and aft are rusty and showing cracks. Surveyor says they must be replaced. Can anyone tell me where I can purchase them and have cost estimate? Also can anyone tell me approximate cost of replacing standing rigging? Thanks

Well, of course your best bet is to call Hunter Marine. Having said that, I'd be a skeptic until I had the chain plates looked at by someone with some metallurgical expertise rather than a surveyor. As far as standing rigging, any rigging shop is a good bet, but I believe Seco South was the OEM supplier and they may be able to make you up replacements from spec: http://www.secosouth.com/
