Are there any H49 owners here have more than 300' of 3/8" chain in your locker?

I would like to make a purchase to extend my chain to 400', however, due to the chain locker size, I am not certain I will get the 12" of required vertical fall for the chain when hauling in.

For those that are questioning the weight- 400' of 3/8 BBB is around ~600 lbs of weight, and I feel it should allow for a safe anchorage in ~80 to 100' of water via my 73lb Rocna.. The Lewmar windlass is spec'd to have no trouble with this weight.

No, and I don't think I need to at this point.. Please let me know if I should be concerned.

100' of water equates to ~150 lb of chain (1.5 lbs per foot), plus the 73 lb anchor comes to ~225 lb of working load at max depth. The 12V Lewmar V2 system has a working load of 125lbs more than this, and a max pull of ~1400 lbs.

No not nessesaarily. I anchor usually in 20 to 30 feet and have a Rocna 40 (88 lbs). When my anchor comes up full of mud I've seen my windless bind up and struggle on occasion.
