centerboard problem

I really need some help on my centerboard on my 1979. I need a picture or discription of how the orginal wire/rope pendant is attached to the c/b. There is a hole, approx size of a quarter, about 4 inches from the trailing edge of the c/b. The pendant attaches to whatever goes into that hole. I would like to duplicate the orginal connection rather than drilling another hole in the c/b to use a rope and shakle. I'm listed on the 23 owners list with e-mail. I guess the 25ft O'day would have the same setup Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I'd get a nice

1/4 in. line, whip the end, tie a nice neat small knot at the CB and call it a day. It worked for me on an Oday 25. Grins!! Tom

 

[Mullet]

I removed my centerboard two days ago

and the wire is simply looped through the hole in the cb and secured back to itself with a metal crimp. Don't know whether this is OEM.
