centerboard on 25

Im looking at a 1975 O'day 25.Im not very familiar with the boat.How do you lift the centerboard? Where is the lever for this?Thanks,Milles

I have an 1979 vintage and there is a line that is forward in the cockpit, just before the companionway, that you pull up.

lever for centerboard

there is no lever for the centerboard-it originally had a stainless steel/nylon(?) combination lead to pull up the centerboard. new nylon cord is a satisfactory replacment.

Or Inside Cabin?

Earlier OD25 models (not sure which year they stopped), had a small winch within the cabin attached to a post that the drop table rested on. I have a 76 and Gary is correct, below the bridge deck within the cockpit. The CB weighs only about 30lbs, and is a directional CB only, no ballast. The ballast is within the stub keel. Check out the condition of the nylon line. The attachment clip on the CB can be a real nuisance to replace. Good luck.Don
