My wife and I spent our first weekend on our Hunter 22 this past weekend. We went to Cobb Island, MD and we went to a dock. During the evening the harbor got a small chop on it and it was making the boat rock side to side. The centerboard was making a banging noise when this was happening. I tried tightening it and I also tried letting it down but I still had the noise. The Hunter 22 does not have a housing over the centerboard, it is exposed. Is it normal to get some noise from your centerboard in these conditions or could the centerboard be loose in its fittings?
