Hello all,I finally disassembled the cable run for my centerboard on my 1986 P36-2. I had a slight leak at the base plate that the p/o kept putting 5200 ontop of.......The two upper sheaves and housings appear to be fine with no pitting in the ss and the sheave spins easily. However, the base sheave housing (where my slow leak was) is extremely pitted from electrolysis. Also, the bronze sheave is froze to the side of the ss housing and obvously not spinning. The pitting is on the ss housing on both sides of the base plate as well as on the inside walls where the sheave is. Attached are basic dimensions.I am bringing this piece to a welding shop this week to have a new one made and was wondering if anybody else was in the market for a new base sheave housing?? Maybe get an economy of scale pricing.....Was also wondering if I sould have a ss sheave put inside rather than the bronze? The ss ones I have seen on the market have a bronze bushing inside the pin.
