Leak

Owen - I fixed my leaky centerboard by making a gasket from a black mouse pad and sealing it to the the cb trunk so that the lever rotates against it. Cheap and effective fix, but you'll need someone under the boat to hold the blade in position while you pull the lever out. Justin - O'day Owners' Web

Do you have a Day Sailer I, II, or III? If you have a DS I, you can make a gasket from thick rubber using the old one as a pattern, but first try tightening the three screws that hold the lever in place just a bit. Dampening the gasket also helps if the boat has been out of the water for a while (gasket will swell a bit when wet). You can buy a new rubber gasket from D
