Centerboard Housing problems

I purchased a new CB housing for a hunter 240. it looks great but when I set it up using the same holes as the previous housing (CB pin & roller pin) the roller hits the notch on the CB which prevents it from swinging too far forward when down but then the roller hits the CB when lifting it and prevents the CB from being fully retracted. there are other holes that I can use but no matter the combination I, if the CB can swing all the way, then the roller does not hit the notch on the front of the CB that prevents it from swinging too far forward. Is this a problem?

Do the holes on your new one line up with the holes on your old one? And why did you need a new one? Did something get bent?

Yes the holes lined up. there are actually extra holes but they don't work either. Had to replace because the old one broke and CB fell out.

You might want to PM @Crazy Dave Condon
He is on this forum and he helped to design the system.

One thing I know he will ask you is "are you using 3/8 line and not 1/2" It seems to be a significant issue and he stresses it.
