Randy, I use a piece of styrofoam cut to size and wrapped with white duct tape that I tuck into the rear portion of the centerboard hole to prevent my C-board from going totally inside the hull on a turtle. I am able to pull the C-board up to get a grip on it to right my boat. The "plug" fits snuggly in the hole and I only use it in gusty conditions. Seems to work for me.... Good Luck...
