Try Rudy

I had the same arrangement and purchased a replacement from Rudy at D&R Marine. It is all line with no wire and has worked fine. http://www.drmarine.com/

thanks james, can you tell me how it is attached to the centerboard without a knot keeping the rope from jamming into the centerboard trunk.

Can do in all wire

I also have a 23 and previously replaced the centerboard and pendant. I got all of the parts from Rudy at D&R. My previous pendant was all wire. Rudy made up a new one of all wire (soft braid SS) including a swaged narrow deep throat shackle that was pinned through the centerboard. Works great! Soft wire is more durable than line and winds neatly on the pendant crank.

You might want to try

using plain dacron line. On my Oday 25 I just drilled a larger hole in the CB and installed a 1/4 in. line and it worked fine. The knot at the CB should be close tied and the knot should be small. I think I used a square knot. The CB for the Oday 25 does not weigh much, so the 1/4 in. line is just fine.

C/B pendant

The attachment has rusted off my centerboard and I need to know what it looked so I can have a new one made up. My boat is a "79 23 and I want to keep the rope & wire pendant that was orginal. If anyone has a discription or a photo, please post it.
