The uphaul on the centerboard of my 1990 MacGregor 26 has come unattached. How was the cable originally attached to the centerboard? I dove under the bottom and see about a 1" hole in the centerboard about 1" from the read edge with a smaller hold going the rear edge. A shackle is attached to the end of the uphaul cable. Is there a missing piece? The owners manual has a brief paragraph on removing the centerboard. So,if I get the centerboard removed how do I re-attach the uphaul cable?
