My drop center board is cracked and needs to be replaced as it will not retract fully etc. I assume boat will need to be lifted and the board removed. How is the board fastened and how is it removed. Thanks Dennyg4

Denny: I think the subject of Oday centerboards is one of the most "popular" topics on this board. A number of years ago, someone posted step by step instructions with pictures on how to remove the centerboard on an Oday 25. I had printed out the string and pictures, and put it in a file for safekeeping, where it has sat for the past 4 years. Fortunately, I came across that file by accident last week, and I have scanned it and attached it to this post (in multiple files due to the size). I also searched for the original post in the site archives, but it doesn't seem to have survived. Note that the original photos are in color, but my scanner has only b&w capability. Good luck.
