Hello Members,

Today we start cleaning and restoring our Celebrity! :) "Linde" is hull #860. We brought her from Massachusetts yesterday and put her safely in the barn for her repairs.

Enjoy her "before" pictures. I'll post the finished look later. As you can see she has a "boo boo" on deck and she has outgrown her present trailer. We will attend to cleaning first and then to repairs. Searching for a trailer starts tomorrow at Reading Boat Works, Reading, PA.

If anyone sails a Celebrity I would enjoy hearing from you. We are in PA now, but plan to go to FL in late October. We may take the boat to Charlotte Harbor (SW FL) for the winter.

Congrats on the new project/baby. You will have to keep us all updated and let me know if you pass through Savannah on your way to FL.

Hello Members,

I dropped the ball on this thread, sorry. I had posted some pics and questiions on Facebook, but not here.

Finished the Celebrity about three weeks ago and sailed her twice. Well, the second time my wife let me sail off the dock and back to it. The rest of the two hours she had the helm. Can't complain because she did a lot of the work. I'll try to post several pictures of the work and the finished project. "Linde" sails very well in light air. It will take a while to get used to tiller control again after many years with a wheel and heavier boats.

Trailering is a hoot! With such a flat bottom the boat slid from side to side during turns....especially crossing traffic and turning into side roads. Guide boards on the trailer have stopped that. Loading is more sure, and we can put a line from one guide bracket to the other over the hull and hold the boat very securely.

We are very happy with this boat!
