Please, I have a 29.5 and am interested in adding a CDI Main furing, to replace my traditional main.... I want to make sailing as simple and hassel free as possible. My wife is not able to do much of the 'first mate' stuff, so I am looking to add the CDI furling ...

Comments and advise would be appreciated.

Thanks, Dave

I was just looking at those also. Looks like it would be a heck of a lot nicer than having to deal with going up on the fordeck to remove sailcover, loosen lazy jacks, sail ties and reefing process when the winds pick up. The only slight downside I saw was that you'd need to have a weather strip added to your sail and the battens would need to be vertical. Then there is the slight performance hit you might encounter since the sail would be a couple inches away from the mast.

Besides those issues it looks like it would be a trick setup.

I know I'm going to get the furling Asymetrical spinnaker setup mounted in front of my furling genoa attached to the pulpet rail.

Would be nice to see what people think about that company's products though as far as durability.

Cheers,

The weather strips seem to be built into the furling sail. My sailing experience is limited. I seems to be a good choise, Im not looking to be a performance sailer, so I do like the simplicity of this system.

I live and work within a mile or 2 of their main office here in central NY. I have one of their FF2 headsail units on my 240 and was pleased with it's performance. Ive never been there, but if I can help send me a PM and I'll do what I can. Give me a reason to scout out a headsail unit for my 28.5 :)
