CDI Furlers

Nissim, Yes, there have been many discussions of CDI furlers. I recommend you go to the archives and search under CDI Furlers. I have one on my Hunter 260 and like it so far. David S/V Abundance

CDI

Installed one in my h25 five years ago. Works fine. I would recommend the torlon bearing option over the stock unit.Greatly reduces effort in furling, reefing. Regards, Jim

Although I hate these things they seem to last a way longer than I ever expected. Mine had NO bearings, just grease on the plastic drum over another plastic part. The halyard designs stink. I want to be able to get the sail down in a hurry if necessary and that couldn't happen with the old CDI. Someone paid over $500 on ebay for my old one when I upgraded to Profurl. CDI still has some parts available for these but they are pricey and I'd invest in a better system before spending money on parts for that thing

I have one...

I have an '81 30 with an older CDI furler. I've only had the boat 6 months but the furler seems to work just fine. I recomend them.
