I have a CDI 2 furler. I need to know what kind of rope and size that should run from the sail to the cockpit? Any help would be appreciated. I have been away for awhile, so I am not up on the latest.

Thanks,

the furling line used was either 3/16 or 1/4. The actual length will be determined when the sail if furled with about 4 extra turns to where it will be tied off in the cockpit as the length will vary. If you have the old one, then measure and add or detract based on too much or too little or just right.

I have CDI 2 on my 240 and just replaced the furling line. the original line from PO was 3/16", but I went with 1/4" after recommendation from Crazy Dave (thank you, Dave). Much easier to operate. I wouldn't go any bigger, though, as you're liable to run out of room in the drum. I ordered 30 feet of sta-set double braid, which is just right for my 240 with standard 110% genoa (measured drum to cockpit and added 15 feet).
