Pendant line replacement
ADR, You are going need to get at the centerboard. This involves letting the board down enough to disconnect the pendant line from the trailing edge of your centerboard. My centerboard has a 1/4" hole in it where a shackle pin at the end of the pendant line hooks to it. Yours may be different. You may have a 1" hole in your board with smaller hole for a cable to enter it and terminate inside the 1" hole via a combination three strand rope to metal cable. You don't know until you can look at it. It's pretty hard to do if the boat is in the water unless you have SCUBA gear. If the boat is on stands at the boatyard, you're going to need to get at the keel somehow. Is the pendant line still connected to the centerboard, or has it parted? Is the boat in the water, or is it on stands? If the boat is on stands, can you get the yard crew to expose the keel so that you can get the board down a couple of feet? There's a guy in Assonet Ma. who has whatever you need for it, but I think that you ought to check it out first so that you can get the right pendant line for it. I'll give you his link.Joe
