Need some information on this boat. It appears to be fairly narrow, and built in Europe. How does it sail, for a fractional rig, and is there a demand or market for this boat. Looking on line, there is very little information about this one. It appears to have been built in the early to mid 80's.

It looks like most of the websites on this boat use metric so try searching for Cayenne 12.5 instead of 41.

There are pictures and a site online detailing the specs. At 41 ft and 14,000 or so pounds and 8' beam, and 6'4" draft, she is light, narrow and probably speedy!

We are owners of a Cayenne 41 on Lake Michigan. It has been a great boat for us. If you have any questions, please let me know. This is our second Cayenne and we have had this one for ten years. jimschrager at gmail dot com

Have sailed on one for about 60 miles in 5-20 knots, mostly upwind. It heels a lot. Steering position can be tough when it heels. Interior is cramped. Reaches very fast. Boat is about 35 feet with 6 feet of overhangs. On the other hand, well built and easy to short hand. The Volvo on the one I sailed on was problematical.

Looked at the link. Beautiful interior and the outside looks to be 100% fast. A great performance cruiser and day sailor. I wonder what the headroom is? The fins look like state of the art for their era and still fast today.

The link shows a Volvo sail drive. I would be concerned about one that old.

There is a Cayanee 41 in Detroit, that is going up for sale or is for sale. Very comfortable boat that sleeps maybe 8, with a ton of equipment, and plenty of sails. The deck is fitted out with 8-10 self tailing winches, and name brand running gear. It can be rigged for single or double handed sailing, but also is very very fast for racing, the best part is that it is a fresh water boat with no salt exposure. I think the asking is $15,000, which is much less than the equipment is worth. Needs a bit of TLC, but a lot of boat for the asking. Let me know, and I can track down the owner.
