I’m not sure what was used before, but the old caulk is failing and needs to be redone. Any recommendations? I know a lot of folks hate silicone sealant, but would it be appropriate here? I want longevity and don’t want the caulk to yellow.

Also, prep the wood and walls with acetone?

Use a good quality bath and tub caulk. Meets all the necessary criteria and is not exposed to UV, so "marine" caulk is not necessary.

Thanks, those are just what I need. Could only find 1.5” on go2marine.

some of the existing caulk has yellowed (apparently the PO had added some caulk on some seams). I assume it’s leaching color from the teak. Is that more of an issue with some caulks than others?
