I thought I'd post a link to an article from Sail Magazine (August 2004) describing a tour of Catalina's factory. Pretty interesting stuff for Catalina owners or would-be's! The article is a PDF document, so you'll need Adobe Acrobat reader. Trevor

Loyalty

The reason we are so damn loyal is because Catalina makes a fleet of absolutely great boats! Name an area and Catalina excels...good looking, tough, comfortable, reasonable speed, well built, intelligently designed, easy to get parts, hold their value, reasonably priced...and the list goes on.

Owners

I recommend Catalinas to a lot of people - reasons are many, but one is the great community of owners who always seem willing to lend a helping hand or share advice. Thanks for all the support! Trevor

Catalina loyalty

Last year, when the original exhaust manifold on my '78 C30 gave up the ghost, I called Catalina moaning for help. The rep asked me for the hull number. After five minutes on hold, he came back and said, "O.K., I have the construction file on that boat. Let me send you a copy of the engineering drawing for that part. Just confirm that it matches what we're talking about and we'll have one new one made for you in two weeks." I did; they did; it was a perfect fit. Who could ask for anything more in the way of a manufacturer's loyalty to a customer?
