Has anyboby had contact with Catalina lately? We have a Catalina still in warranty but cant seem to get any e mail responce from the manufacturers. I have used the web site (contact us web page) as well a directly by e mail. Can anybody suggest another way they may be contacted. Cheers.

Almost anybody that's ever tried will tell you that Catalina doesn't do email, and the contact via the website is a joke.

However, calling directly - even though you might have to try a couple of times, will get you an answer. It might even get you a return phone call directly from Frank Butler himself!

If your boat is still under warranty, do make an effort to hold your dealer accountable, and if they aren't interested or capable of making good on the warranty, do let Catalina know about it.

Good Luck!

Catalina Contacts

Al,

I agree with Duality and Tim to try and contact a live person at Catalina or your dealer you bought from if they are a Catalina dealer.

I have had positive results on the phone, and excellent results thru their Customer service link on their WEB site.

In the last 3 monts I have contacted their Customer service via the WEB link for a new topping lift and new lifelines, last fall a new exhaust riser.
They had the best prices by far.

As a side note the new life lines for my 34 with gates on both side was less then $350.00. This included shipping the old and new.

Good luck,

For warranty problems, first contact your dealer. Secondly, contact your dealer. Thirdly, contact your dealer. Dealers are supposed to handle warranty problems. If that fails (after putting as much pressure on your dealer as you can), contact Frank Butler at CY. Write in a letter using snail mail addressed to Frank , complete with a stamp and an envelope. Frank makes the final decisions regarding all warranty claims, and has been known to call the owners directly, even at 2:00 in the AM (that's 2:00 AM PST, so you might not appreciate getting that call but have all your ducks in a row (preferrably in your letter)). As the factory is in the process of being moved from CA to FL, others such as Gerry Douglas have been a little pre-occupied and even less responsive than usual.

Thanks for that. We all know how things are supposed to work. Is Franks address available from the web site?
