Catalina Morgan 45

I do not see a Catalina Morgan 45 posted on the list of specific models and cannot find any reference to the Catalina Morgan 45 in the forums. I'm a recent purchaser of this now Catalina owned brand and have a need to communicate with some Catalina Morgan 45 owners. Catalina Morgan

Catalina took over the old Morgan some years ago and for several years produced two Morgans, both center cockpit, a 38 and the 45. The Cataline 380, and now 390, I believe both use the same hull as the Morgan 38. I don't know what other boats Catalina may have produced using the samae hull as the M45. As far as I now, all of the Morgans built by Cat were built at the Florida plant. Not that many were produced and you are lucky to have found it. It appears to be a very comfortable cruising boat. Cat stopped building them in about 1998 or so due to demand for regular Catalinas. You might contact Catalina directly or a dealer to see about info on the boat. Matt

Morgans are still in production

If you go to the Catalinayachts.com site you will see that they still are manufacturing both the Morgan 381 and the Morgan 45, both center cockpit boats. Matt, what made you think that they had discontinued them in 1998?I would like to see the Morgans discussed at this website as well, especially since they are current Catalina models. Perhaps the web master can add the two Morgans to the list of Catalina models reviewed and tracked at this web site.

Morgan 45

Yes, Morgan's (a 38cc and 45cc)are still being manufactured down in Florida. As for getting intouch with other Morgan owners..try the Chesapeake Morgan Assoication.
