Catalina Holding Tank Hoses

Well - after doing my best to wrap in saran wrap I still could not get to the pumpout hose where it attaches to the tank and the vent hose as well (this part of the hose appears to be under fiberglass that I can not get to (under starboard settee). By the way, changing the hoses has to be easier than wrapping in saran wrap on a hot summer day (of course I can't even use it on a sandwich without tangling it!) At any rate, now the question - I assume from what I've found that to replace the hoses forward of the tank requires one to remove the tank??? If so, any tricks to this? I"ve read the articles on tricks to replacing the hoses but not access to this area. Any info appreciated!! Bill (Catalina 270/'95) BTY it took water, air horn, wire and 1 hour but I finally cleared the vent line at stanchion - worth it though - thanks!

Noooo..changing hoses shouldn't require

removing the tank! however, it may require taking the settee apart. If no one here can tell you how to do that without using a chain saw, call Catalina. And while you have 'em on the phone, suggest that the person who designed a boat with no access to the tank to replace hoses be required do it once After he's had to deal with it, I'll bet he can come up with a better design!
