Hello. I recently acquired a 1982 Cyclone and the white rub rail was scuffed and grungy. I tried Mr. Clean erasers, acetone and even wet sanding to reveal the white. I have attached pics. But after sanding there was no white left, only a light butterscotch color. What is going on here? Do I need to replace? Paint? Keep sanding? It seems the white was only on the surface.
