Catalina 42 Berths

Does the dinette table in a 2 cabin 42 slide down into a birth? Is a 3 cabin 42 the same as a 2 cabin from the main saloon forward? Do many 42's, or similar sized Catalinas sail from Florida to the Caribbean? Which, if any, Caribbean charter companies use Catalina's. Thanks!

My 42 [2 cab] has a dinette table that drops down to create a double. You take the two long legs out [good luck... its a bear of a job] then you replace them with 2 short legs. Try not to drop the table as it is very heavy. Basically the problem I have centers around the overly tight fit of the alum legs into their sockets. I've looked into replacing them with a single hydraulic stand from a Hi/lo table but the problem with the hi/lo is that it wont go low enough.If anybody has dealt succesfully with the table issue I'd like to hear.
