Catalina 400 drain holes between stringers

Cleaning areas I don't see any way for water to drain I have hull 037 new to me even the area under the packing won't drain.
Wondering if others have drilled holes? Between stringers to get water to the bilge.

i have the mark 2 model and all compartments drain to bilge except the engine pan. also try catalina400.org and yahoo groups catalina400 to gain info from more 400 owners.

ps, can you keep storing at west basin, i know its hard to get a spot there.

Thanks I thought so, for some reason Catalina did not drill any drain holes. This causes mildew to grow in all the pans between stringers.
I have a slip in West Basin and did not store there last year and was asked to store next year. They lost several boats last year
The harbor master there wasn't the best but he is gone now. I would try early to get a spot but you will need a cradle.

the area under the packing does drain on my boat!, it did get clogged one time, check the limber hole before you drill another

but ask a mark 1 owner first to be sure
