Catalina 350 Thru Hull Fittings problem

I suggest that you be sure to have your thru hull fittings checked. My 2004 Catalina 350 had some fittings below the waterline that were about to fail. One was for the a/c located in the aft locker. Another was in the forward anchor locker. The original fittings were not the best quality. I replaced all of my "less expensive" plastic fittings. The yard found another 350 with the same problem.

Could you be more specific than "thru hull fittings" please? Was it the Marelon valves, the connections to the thru hulls, the hose clamps, the backing plates, the thru hulls and bedding...

Warnings are nice, but specifics help us all.
