Catalina 310 weight

Has anyone weighed their Catalina 310? My neighbor is having a lift made, and the lift rated at 16,000# couldn't handle the boat. The builder says he weighs the boat at 18,000#. This boat is only 2 years old, not overly loaded and should weigh 13,000# max. The specs say 10,700#. Catalina couldn't have made a 2 1/2 ton mistake if they tried. Any real life numbers out there?

and get their input. Perhaps your boat needs to go on a diet.
