When the wind picks up when I am in the slip, the mast starts pumping making it impossible to sleep. I've tried different tentions on the lower shrouds, but nothing has worked. Anybody have any ideas how to bring this under control? Thanks, Sean
It drives me crazy too. Iv'e tried wraping a halyard around it a couple times and winching it tight (advise from someone) it didn't do anything. The following season I had the marina tune the mast for me and it still does it. To me, it's not even the sleeping, it's shaking the boat apart (feels like) and tugging on the shrouds so much, hopefully someone out there can help. Great Post
Dean
Oh, I get it. When I wrapped mine I was trying to stiffen it or something. I will try the bundleing method, anything will help. I wonder if mast steps would help too?
