Catalina 30 shower/bilge

Hello all Catalina 30 owners!I am thinking of buying a Cat 30, a 1987 model, but it is advertised as having the shower emptying into the bilge for pumping/discharge. Is this standard? Or should the shower be a separate enclosure from the rest of the boat, with the pump emptying grey water directly from the shower sump? Could the bilge pump affect the keel bolts? Any suggestions?

Shower to the bilge

Mine (CAT30 #3514)also drains into the bilge. I am not particularly fond of this arrangement as we use the shower a lot, so the bilge virtually always has water in it. I would prefer a dry bilge.If anyone has come up with a modification, I would be interested.
