I have a 27 Catalina and I would like to install a outboard bracket on the transom. I see that there is an outline on the transom for the engine to be mounted directly, when this is removed. Now my question is can I mount the outboard bracket to this area? I would perfer not to cut out the hole, but concerned that the area is to weak to support the power of an engine. Thanks Derek
