What year is your boat? Do you have a wheel or tiller? Those with wheels are easy to install. Otherwise, and I know this sounds goofy, but I had a table that hung from the boom on our C22, only to be used while main was down of course.

Making your own table is almost always cheaper then buying new. Although stick to using marine grade plywood with a teak or mahogany type veneer for improved durability. I have never seen oak or pine woods weather very well long term to salt water exposure. They tend to split & crack. A marine type plywood is very stable & durable. Plastic /PVC type tables are also available & are durable but not as nautical looking. I would also check out Craigslist or Ebay for used tables. The mounting hardware usually comes with the older ones & can cost U as much as the table when buying new. I bought a very nice all teak folding table for one of my previous boats from craiglsist that came from a parted out Helms. I paid about $50 bucks for what would have cost me $350 or more new. But it was made for mounting to the cabin bulkhead. Solid teak tables for a cockpit are worth $200 or more even used.

Teak Cockpit Table

Anyone have a cockpit table to recommend.. Plans for. Design. Or available cheap. ..temporary one or?? ideas..
I am in the process of making a 12X24 custom cockpit tables at this time. This is a prototype made with solid 5/8 teak and features a 6 inch custom Compass Rose inlay. However, I can make want ever you want. This table will fold down when not in use and does not use a leg for support. It can be either finished or unfinished depending on you want. Tables of this quality are hard to find and are very expensive. However, since I am just getting started making these tables, I hope to make them more affordable. Let me know if you are interested.
