Moving up from Rhodes 22, I want to daysail on Lake Michigan. I want to trailer my boat home off season, about 35 mile trip. The Catalina 27.5 seems to fit my needs but it seems its hard to find a used one. How tough is it to raise the mast? how is it to launch? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I used to trailer sail a Catalina 22. With two people it was manageable, but not fun.
There is no way I would consider trailering a 275. I have no idea how you would launch or retrieve it. I think you would need a crane or travel lift to put the boat in the water. And the mast would require a crane as well.
I suppose that if you have a marina with those facilities, and a heavy duty tow vehicle and trailer, you would be able to trailer it home and back, but you really need pro facilities to rig and launch.
