I have a 2002 250 wing and the hatch leaks eventhough the canvas cover is in place. Any solutions to this problem?

Thanks,

Jeff

Jeff,
I don't know if you've gotten an answer for this question, but here are a couple of things to try or check. First, if the boat's on it's trailer, you need to make sure that it's sitting almost perfectly level. We have a gauge just inside the hatch that lets us check on our C-250 WK. If it's sitting level, both the forward hatch and the rear hatch will draing properly. If it's sitting in the water, it's a bit more difficult to diagnose, simply because your weight in the boat moves it around enough to confound your efforts. We don't have the hatch cover you mention (well, we do, but it's the wrong size, so we don't use it), but others on the Catalina forum mentioned above have told stories about using a fender on the inside of the hatch cover to make it "tent" so water drains properly from it.

You don't say where it's leaking, so I'm assuming it's from the forward part. If it's leaking through the aft entry area, I'm not sure what to tell you. We have a 1997 and rarely get any water through the back of the hatch, unless I'm a little bit too vigorous with hosing it down, or we leave the hatch open during a downpour.
